Like the US, Australia and Canada use a dollar as their official currency. But the Australian dollar (AUD), Canadian dollar (CAD), and US dollar (USD) don’t all carry the same value globally. With these new Rosetta Stone domains, customers who use the Australian dollar or the Canadian dollar in their everyday lives can use them to purchase a Rosetta Stone subscription instead of needing to exchange them for USD.
New Rosetta Stone Canada domain
The new domain for Canada is ca.rosettastone.com. CA is the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) abbreviation for Canada. When referring to the CAD, the D stands for “dollar.” Canadian dollars began circulating in 1858. Today, the USD and CAD are not exchanged equally around the world. Exchange rates fluctuate daily, but in 2024, $1 USD = $1.4 CAD generally speaking.
New Rosetta Stone Australia domain
The ISO abbreviation for Australia is AU, so the new domain is au.rosettastone.com. The AUD was adopted in Australia in 1966 and is the official currency of many regions and sovereign nations including Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, Keeling Islands, Nauru, Kiribati, and Tuvalu. This popular dollar was rated the fifth most exchanged currency worldwide in 2019.
As with the CAD, exchange rates for the AUD fluctuate daily. Historically, the average exchange rate from USD to AUD is 0.777. In 2024, $1 USD = $1.5 AUD.
How to access the new domains
For the most part, these new domains include the same information as the original US Rosetta Stone domain. They will continue to match our existing international domains in look and feel, and they use the same subscription management and payment processing methods.
